“How to Start a Career in Art,” An Afternoon with Patrick and Kathy Murillo at the Heard Museum
Patrick Murillo and Kathy Cano-Murillo have been working as Chicano pop artists for 20 years. Their
most popular works are custom-made shadow boxes filled with bright colored art, glitter and hi-gloss finishes. La Casa Murillo will be a life-size creation of the Murillos’ fantasy home opening in the Lovena Ohl Gallery at the Heard Museum on October 3, 2008.
In the lecture “How to Start a Career in Art,” the Murillos will share career pointers and starting pointsm and discuss how they market their work with blogs, web sites and other tools of the trade.
